On May 15 workers of Indian Acrylics Limited marched  from Bhawanigarh to Sangrur in Punjab demanding wages for the lockdown period. They raised slogans like “Kamaron mein na band karo; Roti ka prabandh karo”. The demonstration in which hundreds of workers participated was organized by IFTU and ZPSC.

India Acrylics Ltd. is a private company manufacturing synthetic yarn for textiles. The company was established in 1986.
