Central Committee of CPI(ML)-New Democracy expresses its grief at the death of Com. Mukhtar Pasha who died today (24.9.2020) evening in a hospital in Guntur (AP). He died of Covid which he had contracted in the course of his political work. Com. Pasha was a member of the Central Committee of CPI(ML) (Central Organ- Rising New Democracy) led by Com. Chandram. His untimely tragic death at a young age is a loss to his organization as well as revolutionary movement.
A native of Gondala mandal of Kothagudem-Bhadradri District of Telengana, Com. Pasha was drawn towards communist revolutionary movement from his student days. He was a prominent leader of the PDSU in then united AP and had been part of its state leadership. After his student days, he became a professional revolutionary. He had been secretary of Kothagudem DLC (of which Yelllandu, Gondala and Bayaram were part) and a member of district committee secretariat of the Party.
After his student days, he devoted himself to work in the Party and working class. He had been part of the state leadership of IFTU and at the time of his death was General Secretary of IFTU (of which Com. SV Rao is the President). He was the main organizer of the work among tile workers and also played an important role in TU movement of coal workers of Singareni.
An able organizer and an effective speaker, Com. Pasha was an asset to the revolutionary movement.
