As a part of scheme workers’ protest organized by IFTU, anganwadi workers, helpers and mini workers staged a Dharna before the ICDS office inn Tirupati district of Andhra Pradesh. Dharna was held to demand enlisting these workers as govt. employees and entitle them to avail Class IV employees’ emoluments and other rights and benefits.

Protest was held under the leadership of district President Bharati, SriKalahasti Project secretary Swarna, Kothabedu Project president Prameela and other leaders of Anganwadi workers of the district. IFTU is organizing protests of Anganwadi workers for their demands.
